The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) has announced the promotion of Samantha Hurley to UK Managing Director. The move supports the trade association’s continued international expansion, with Global CEO, Ann Swain, working closely with APSCo and APSCo OutSource brands across APAC, Europe and the Americas regions.
In her new role, Hurley will be working closely with the UK team with an immediate focus on employment legislation lobbying and member support during the coming period of recruitment reforms.
Commenting on her new role Hurley said:
“We all started the year expecting another challenging 12 months, but encouragingly we are now seeing promising green shoots both in terms of our data and the conversations we’re having with members. For APSCo UK, our focus for 2025 is to protect and support our members and the professional staffing market in what will be a period of complex legal changes, not just via our lobbying team, but also through legal support and guidance from our internal experts and Trusted Partners.
“Our members have growth ambitions that we will continue to support, and that includes helping firms improve productivity and efficiency. With the growth of AI and automation, now really is the time for staffing companies to set the foundations for the best possible growth in a more stable environment. I’m looking forward to working closely with our members and Trusted Partners to support their business success as we navigate this time of change.”
Ann Swain, Global CEO, commented:
“Sam has been an instrumental part of the growth of APSCo over the years and I’m delighted to see her take on this new role in the UK. The remit of APSCo has expanded exponentially across the globe and having a dedicated UK MD is the natural next step for the business. Under Sam’s leadership, I have no doubt that the team will continue to go above and beyond for our members and for the professional staffing sector during what will be a critical period for recruitment.”
