APSCo Update - Direct Engagement (Margin Only) Model and NHS Hiring

A direct engagement (commonly referred to “Margin Only”) is a model commonly used in the healthcare sector that enables NHS trusts to save costs, particularly in relation to VAT payments, by hiring contracted workers directly.

The EAS have updated their notice on the direct engagement model of introduction to clarify what a recruitment company’s obligations are when operating a direct engagement model.
