Join Tania, Shazia and our public affairs advisors for a discussion on the pressing issues affecting our sector, a review of impact over 2024 and a look forward to priorities for 2025.  Expect a discussion around Employment Rights and Worker Status, in addition to thoughts on maximising impact with the new Government and the regional devolved authorities.

Shazia is General Counsel and manages the Legal and Compliance team, joining APSCo in 2021. Shazia is a UK qualified lawyer with over 15 years extensive international expertise gained in both private practice and in house. She has worked across diverse industries including the recruitment sector, overseeing corporate, commercial and employment law matters.

Shazia provides expert guidance to members and trusted partners on legal issues and regulatory changes affecting the industry, overseeing our members’ and trusted partners’ adherence to our codes of conduct, and delivering legal services to members including model documents, precedents, legal updates, and the legal helpdesk. She works alongside Tania Bowers on APSCo's public affairs, representing our members’ interests in consultations with the government and other bodies on regulatory change.

APSCo, Global Public Policy Director

Tania is the Global Public Policy Director. She is a solicitor who has worked exclusively in the professional staffing sector since 1999, joining APSCo in 2016.

As Head of Global Public Policy Tania represents our members’ interests in meetings and communications with Government departments, ministers, MPs and other interested stakeholders. She is responsible for APSCo’s public affairs activity on a global basis representing APSCo members’ views to governments and contributing to the debate on the future of the global professional labour market.
