From High Performer to Effective Line Manager

James Gage, Associate Trainer, APSCo

Being great at your job is often what gets you promoted. But the skills and habits that make someone a successful individual performer aren't necessarily the same ones they need when they become responsible for other people's performance.

Whether you're earmarked for management or already there, moving from top biller to team leader, or from being the go-to expert in a support function to managing others, becoming a line manager requires a shift in how you think, work and measure success.

In this one-hour taster session, participants will explore the habits that have helped them succeed so far, consider which will help - or potentially hinder - them as managers, and identify the skills they need to develop to lead others effectively.

Ideal for new and aspiring managers, as well as those responsible for developing the next generation of leaders in their organisation.
