Nicola Ihnatowicz is a partner in the Employment and Pensions Department at Trowers & Hamlins LLP, and specialises in all aspects of human resources and employment law for employers and recruitment businesses.
Nicola specialises in supporting businesses to become "Employers of the Future". Her expertise includes advising on sustainable workforces, achieving inclusivity and business transformation. She also supports employers with difficult employee relations matters, such as changing terms and conditions, managing stress at work, reasonable adjustments, discrimination and harassment investigations, and restructures and redundancies.
Nicola regularly advises and represents clients on Employment Tribunal matters and has recently dealt with complex claims for discrimination and harassment, holiday pay, whistleblowing and workplace stress. She is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences, including the firm's weekly online Q&A "Trowers Tuesday".
Nicola chairs the firm's Social Impact Committee and has experience as a charity trustee.

Expertise in both UK/US traditional staffing models (perm/temp) and outsourcing arrangements (specifically managed service and recruitment process outsourcing), Statement of Work ("SOW") model, IR35/Off-Payroll legislation and classification issues, employment status, commercial contracts, supply chain due diligence, employment and regulatory law, risk management, insurance and compliance. Attended UCLA (undergraduate), Southwestern College of Law (Los Angeles) and College of Law (London).
