Discussion on Hiring Fraud followed by Q&A
Keith Rosser, Director, Reed Screening
Over the past few years, recruitment fraud has increased significantly, marked by a surge in applicants falsifying qualifications and concealing employment history. The growth of sophisticated ‘Reference Houses’ providing fake documents makes detection difficult, while the cost-of-living crisis has heightened the risk of employees being targeted by organized crime to steal company data. Given the severe consequences including financial loss and reputational damages we discuss how recruitment companies can strengthen the pre-employment screening processes to mitigate these rising insider threats.
