Submission to Inquiry into the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes) Bill 2023

APSCo welcomes the opportunity to make a submission to the Senate Committee’s Inquiry on the Bill.

As the peak body representing professional recruitment firms in Australia, APSCo is a strong advocate for workplace relations settings that protect vulnerable workers while recognising the very different nature and needs of the agile, professional services workforce (who may be engaged as permanent employees, casual employees or contractors). This professional workforce is an important source of the digital and other skills needed for the continued productivity and prosperity of Australia and relies significantly on temporary professionals retaining their flexibility and agility.
