The Multifactor Test: Is a worker an employee or contractor?

Following on from the recent APSCo Member Meeting in Melbourne, Gadens have put together a guide for employers regarding the recent changes to the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), which will change the way employers should determine whether a worker is an employee or an independent contractor.

This guide can be used to help employers consider whether the workers they are engaging are employees or contractors based on a multifactor assessment which determines the totality of the relationship between the contracting parties.
