The Agency Workers Regulations 2010 (“the Regulations”) came into force on 1st October, 2011. The Regulations provide equal treatment rights to all agency workers, so that after an initial 12 week qualifying period their basic working and employment conditions are the same as they would be had they been recruited directly by the client.
