APSCo UK and OutSource Budget Representation to the Treasury

The Budget on 28th October represents an important choice.

Government can continue to increase costs and complexity for employers at a time of fragile confidence, or it can take practical steps to encourage hiring, investment and economic participation. APSCo's priorities are clear:

1. Protect labour market flexibility by excluding professional agency workers from guaranteed-hours reforms.

2. Reduce the cost of employment and support employers to create jobs.

3. Establish a coordinated workforce strategy that aligns skills, participation and economic growth.

The UK's growth ambitions depend on successful businesses, thriving labour markets and access to skilled talent. APSCo stands ready to work with ministers, parliamentarians and policymakers across all parties to deliver these objectives.
