APSCo Update - New legal duty to keep holiday records

The Employment Rights Act 2025 (the Act) introduces significant reforms to UK employment law and forms a central part of the government’s Plan to Make Work Pay. Further details on the measures contained within the Act can be found here.

Although most of the provisions brought into force by The Employment Rights Act 2025 (Commencement No. 2 and Transitional and Saving Provisions) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 were expected and in line with the Government’s Roadmap published earlier this year, an unexpected reform being a new employer duty to keep holiday records, is also coming into force on 6 April 2026.
