DBT - Fair Work Agency

From 7 April 2026, the new Fair Work Agency (FWA) will launch as a new Executive Agency of the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), bringing together the functions of the GLAA, EAS and DLME into a single body.

This aims to simplify engagement with enforcement authorities and provide greater consistency across labour market regulations. Enforcement of the National Minimum Wage will sit with the FWA, although HMRC will continue delivery during the first year.

From 7 April 2026, you will be able to access the FWA page on GOV.UK.

The new contact number for FWA 0345 161 6000 will be available from 7 April, although you will still be able to contact the FWA via the existing numbers for GLAA, EAS, and DLME for the foreseeable future.

For National Minimum Wage (NMW) queries, the Acas helpline (0300 123 1100 - Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm) should continue to be used.

From 7 April 2026, you will also be able to reach the FWA at new email addresses which will follow the format of firstname.lastname@fairworkagency.gov.uk.
