Professional hiring across the UK’s Financial Services sector is expected to gather pace in 2026, with vacancies forecast to rise by 6.2% year on year to approximately 84,703 roles. While recruitment growth is evident across the country, London continues to reinforce its position as the UK’s financial powerhouse. The capital is projected to generate around 46,603 vacancies, representing an 11.2% increase on 2025 and accounting for 55% of all Financial Services vacancies nationwide. This sustained growth reflects London’s continued strength across banking, investment management, fintech and global financial services, supported by ongoing investment in technology and international capital markets.
