Meeting Agenda

This is the final webinar in a "The Future of Healthcare Staffing" series for Clinical and Healthcare businesses we are running between now and Christmas.

The other remaining webinar is on 20th November: Update on NHS Workforce Strategy

Welcome, introduction and APSCo update

Samantha Hurley, MD, APSCo UK

In this session we will explore diverse opportunities for healthcare recruiters outside of the NHS. This webinar will be split in two halves:

Opportunities with the private sector in the UK - what are private sector providers and others who supply into the NHS doing differently and how can recruitment companies support or compliment these initiatives?

Michael Hill, Head of Resourcing, Spire Healthcare Group

Sean Moran, Managing Director, ORARA Group

Opportunities in the US - how can recruiters based in the UK start on their journey to exploit opportunities in the highly lucrative US healthcare sector and what legal and financial considerations do they need to take into account?

In this session we will focus on Ohio as an example, home to the internationally renowned Cleveland Clinic - one of the largest private clinic networks in the world, to show the potential opportunities for expansion to the US for healthcare recruiters. Also, with the help of a legal and a tax specialist, we will look at what legal and compliance measures need to be in place to make such a venture a success.

Alexandra O'Connor, Manager of Business Development, Healthcare and Advanced Manufacturing, Team NEO

Sarah Kroll-Rosenbaum, Founding Partner, Grove Law LLP

APSCo wants to ensure that its meetings are useful and beneficial whilst staying within the law.  In compliance with UK competition law, any discussions at meetings should not involve any exchange of sensitive commercial information, e.g. pricing or components of pricing which may appreciably prevent, restrict or distort competition, or any discussion/agreement about whether or not to work with particular clients. All our meeting chairs are briefed not to allow discussions to stray into such territory, but we would ask you to be mindful of this during networking sessions.
