APSCo Schweiz launches as professional staffing trade body expands into Switzerland. Launch at Microsoft’s offices in Zurich extends APSCo’s presence across the DACH region and gives Swiss recruitment firms access to thought leadership, local compliance and legal support and training.
The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) has launched APSCo Schweiz, taking the global trade body into the Swiss market for the first time and strengthening its support for staffing firms across the German-speaking DACH region.
The launch was announced at an invitation-only event in Zurich, hosted by Microsoft and sponsored by APSCo Global Trusted Partner LinkedIn.
The expansion follows demand from APSCo members and an invitation from the Swiss Recruitment Community to bring the association to Switzerland. APSCo Schweiz will offer professional recruitment firms in Switzerland local compliance guidance, specialist legal support, industry training and networking opportunities. Members will also be held to APSCo’s quality standards and due diligence process, giving clients and candidates a recognised mark of quality.
Thomas André Sola, a Swiss citizen based in the St. Gallen region, will be the first point of contact for members and prospective members in Switzerland. Andre joined as Managing Director of APSCo Deutschland in 2021 and now expands APSCo's services to Switzerland.
Ann Swain, Global CEO at APSCo, said:
APSCo is driven by a team of global recruitment experts with a proven track record and owned by our members. We are excited to bring our passion and expertise to Switzerland, delivering excellent and relevant services that support APSCo members in the local professional recruitment sector."
Sven Hennige, Senior Managing Director Central & Southern Europe at Robert Half Talent Solutions, commented:
The Swiss recruitment market requires a special understanding of the different language regions and cantonal regulations. APSCo Switzerland gives specialised recruitment agencies a collective voice and promotes professional exchange within the industry. This strengthens our industry and builds trust among companies and candidates."
Jenny Johnston, Executive Leadership Partner and President of the Swiss Recruitment Community, added:
Switzerland has a world-class recruitment market, predominantly made up of small specialist firms working largely on their own. APSCo brings what this market needs to grow: recognised professional standards, a credible voice for our industry, and an international network that Swiss firms can fully utilise. Just as importantly, it creates a place where firms of every size can connect and learn from one another, as well as from the partners who support our sector."
